We started off the day by sleeping in- now if thats not a great start i don’t know what is- because a lot of us were up really late (4am) We are staying at a new hotel and the staff is amazing! Bruce, Rosie and I were looking for some “real” not plane food and the staff opened the kitchen to make us burgers at 1am!
We started after breakfast with putting all 10,000 pill bottles in bags of 15 pills each! ok so it was not 10,000 but it was amazing how much stuff they had. Lets just say Bruce and I might have gotten hight off the kid vitamins! only kidding! (I was starting to get this cold that is set in now)
Then off to our first clinic at Bomoni! Talk about crazy organized but still feels crazy out of control….this team of doctors i am travailing with is amazing- they are all so nice and amazing at there job! I started just doing wait i do best- entertaining kids! Then moved in to learning how to take peoples blood presser. It was really fun- Rosie (awesome traveling bud- and awesome group of 2 leader! lol) asked if i wanted to learn. i said yes and jumped right in. After thinking wow that was really cool- how could this day be any better. I went to the dentist room- and my life will never be the same! Bruce asked me how i feel about pulling teeth- and before i knew what was going on I heard – put some gloves on and knew i was in for some amazing adventures! That i did- I pulled my fist tooth that day and had several to follow! It was so cool to see the kids in pain before they came in and then later in the day- they were happy bc they didn’t have that pain in there mouth! First YES- God- check!
There were some other things that i cant say till i get home bc my mom will know all the crazy stuff i do….like not leaving Bomoni till after dark or taking a taxi with Bruce and Rosie to an ice cream place that was closed. so funny. Ask me about my ride home from bomoni! 😉 love you mom! Just an amazing day- How God was able to use me in such cool ways.
