Journey Home part 2

I have started my journey home- I am in Amsterdam right now- I have about 5 hr till i get on my last flight home. (KL0611) First thing off the plane- what did i do….yep go to Starbucks! For the wifi of course 😉 Everything has gone good so far- my flights have all been on time or early- I got off the plane in Nairobi and they were all ready loading the plane for Amsterdam so that was nice. Helped me not really think about leaving.

I don’t know if you know this or not but i am a people/relationship person and oh this trip i have made so many new friends. God brought so many awesome people in to my life to make such an impact on me this trip. I cant wait to tell you about there story’s and how God has been at work in there lives. I also got to know the Kids in our Centers SO much more- I got to spend time teaching in class- eat lunch with them and play on field day with them. it was such a different experience to just be there with them in day to day life. Getting to see how “normal” life is for them. I tell you this because I would like to ask if you could pray for me over the next week- Coming home is always really hard for me- leaving all that behind – feeling like there is so much more i could be doing there. Understanding that God has me here now for a reason- and really trusting in that.

I have so much that i was not able to post – that I am still going to put up- sorry about that but I want you to hear about some of the awesome work God has been doing.

  1. Jessie, your heart for missions and these people is such a blessing and encouragement. Your tender heart toward people is so evident in your desire to minister and meet needs. I will be praying for you as you return to reality…but leave a part of you behind in Kenya. God will continue to use your ministry there even after you are back home. Love you and can’t wait to hear more about your trip! Aunt Lisa
