Kenya bound!

The count down clock has finally reached zero and we are officially on our way to Kenya, Africa! I am always excited to return and reconnect with my friends in Kenya but this year is unique and Lord willing really special.

The first blessing is that I get to take this trip with my family now I know your thinking you always go with your family but this year we have the privilege of having my  grandpa Sanders! Yes, this is my grandpa I write this blog for really…because I know he is going to want to know what crazy adventures I have been on for the day and make sure I lived through them! I will share more about why this is so special for us later this week.

The second blessing for this trip is watching Husna graduate primary school. It has been such a joy to watch her learn, grow and seek God in her years with us at Crossroads. She was in the top of her class and will be leaving to attend a great high school, it’s very bitter sweet for me to watch her go. I couldn’t be more proud of her tho.

The girls in the 2016 class really have a special place in my heart as I have been so blessed to spend time getting to know them, teaching them and watching them become leaders.

And of course Ben and I are really looking forward to getting to see the kids in the rescue center exspecialy one little boy 😉. I’m sure you will see photos of that as one of our first stops!

Please join me in praying for safe travels, good health and Gods working on the trip.
