Life in Kenya.

Since arriving I have been running all over the place as I’m sure most of you can imagine. What a joy it has been to be able to come and serve God and some of my best friends here in Kenya!
My first day I had to come out and see my friends at Vipingo. Dad said to me don’t you want to go and shower first- to that I replied NO WAY I just came 26hr to see them they won’t care how I look or smell 🙂
Day 2 I was off to work first thing in the am- I walked in to the Bomani class and they were cutting the kids hair….i know you find this hard to believe but I ask can I do that?? 🙂 it was so fun as the first kid I cut was Joshua (Gina’s little boy) all the kids started giggling at me. I thought I was doing something wrong so I asked Emily what was so funny she told me that the kids just thought it was SO funny that I knew how to cut hair. Sometimes its hard for me when people ask me what I do for a living. I never l ow where to start haha but at times like this I know He has me doing so many things for His purpose and He intends to use everyone of the things I do for His glory!
After taking pic of each one of our kids and staff mom and I got to spend time with the teachers having lunch and talking about there story. The afternoon we spent time in the class room reading my favorite book my mom used to read me The Tale of the Three Trees. It was still just as good as I remembered it from being- made me feel just like one of the kids I was sitting with.
