Suprize, it’s Richards birthday…we were just as suprized too! Welcome to life in Kenya, nothing is planed out so they always have time for everything. After one of my dear friends let me know it was Richards birthday we stoped at the store quick to get him a cake so we could have a party. Then off we went to Vipingo to have a tour of the school and a birthday party at the Rescucenter.

The cake we got

The Birthday boy with his cake.

In Kenya they have a tradition that they feed the Birthday person there cake. So that’s what they had me do for him.
We enjoy playing and spending time with the staff and kids. Helping some of them eat while others tired to eat the cake on there own and let me tell you it was so cute!

Ben was spending some time with this little guy 4 months old.

Mariam and Grandpa were instant BFFS 😉
I couldn’t pick just one of these 😉 all these kids are so cute!
After a fun afternoon touring and playing with the kids we headed out to do a little shopping and then off to dinner at the hotel. It’s almost 10pm here and if I had to guess mom and I are the last ones of our team still up 🤔.
Today was just a blessing to be able to help celebrate one of these precious children that were once cast way by there family and God put them in our path so we can be lights of Jesus Christ to them and tell them they are loved, cherished and will have a forever family in Christ. Wow, it’s so humbling to be able to be a part of Gods working here in Kenya.

Touring the Vipingo campus

Grandpa was full and ready for a long awaited goodnight sleep laying down in a bed! He didn’t sleep much on the plane so pray his body can recover and rest tonight.
Till tomorrow friends…
